No Interest/ Be Me
I’m not as interested in what’s normal and being average anymore, because I’m not looking to fit in, but to stand out.
… But… as I write that last statement, and reflect on it, I realize that it’s not so much a matter of fitting in or standing out, but more a matter of trying to be myself. To fit in requires conformity, and changing of myself due to peer pressures. To stand out puts undue pressure on what the end product has to be, and an unnecessary weight on subjective matters of success.
All that to say, maybe it’s not so much a matter of fitting in or standing out, but just learning to be and express myself. That’s the challenge, and the goal.
