Take A Breath
Do you ever feel like life is just flying by? Everyone else is moving at a rapid pace while you’re doing everything you can to keep up?
Many people will tell you that the key to being successful is simply to do more. Post more, do more, and be more places. Always go, go, go.
But creating something meaningful with your life takes time. It has nothing to do with being more places, posting more, etc, and has everything to do with creating things that are worth sharing…
Sure, those may be later steps after we’ve made the work, but they are not the main part. The main part is making work that is meaningful, work that deserves to be shared.
In order to do this, we may need to step back. It’s hard to create when you’re spending your time starring at and comparing yourself to everything else everyone else is creating. When I say creating, I don’t even just mean art. I mean creating anything: a life, an environment, a home, a business, etc.
What happens if we step back for a time? Would we really lose everything? Would losing everything be a bad thing? Would we lose followers? Business? Friends?
Or is it also possible that we may gain a better understanding of ourselves, and the purpose of our lives? Is it possible that we would find more strength because we’re choosing a different route than most?
