Choose The Journey

I spend a lot of time thinking about results. What do I want a drawing to look like when it’s finished? How do I want a painting to turn out? How do I want to be perceived after all my hard work?

I spend so much time valuing and thinking about results, that I rarely think about the process. However, the process is what takes 99% of the time, while the ending, just 1%.

I’m coming to learn that I really have no control over perception, only my process. So I’m learning that it’s more important to choose the challenge, than predict the result. All I can really do is say yes to the journey, then work until the finish.
