What is Life 'Supposed to Be?'

What is life ‘supposed to’ be?

Are we ‘supposed to’ ‘settle down’ and have some kids early?

Are we ‘supposed to’ hold off and explore the world?

Are we ‘supposed to’ find our careers early and retire young?

Are we ‘supposed to’ figure things out while we’re young, and just end up where we end up?

Are we ‘supposed to’ go to school?

… ‘supposed to’ go to work?

Are we ‘supposed to’ follow the crowd?

Are we ‘supposed to’ break away from the pack?

It seems to me that many of the rules in life are subjective. Some people spend their whole life trying to ‘fit in’ with a subjective, ever changing culture. Aren’t we all just ‘keeping up?’ Has ‘keeping up’ really made us happy? Is it really fulfilling? Are we really doing much of anything if we’re just following everyone else? Opportunities are around every corner. I think it’s our responsibility to dig them up.
