One Misconception
I thought I’d be everything. As a kid, you think you will. You’ll be the fastest, the strongest, the whatever. You’ll play in the NBA, NFL, and MLB… surely.
Adulthood, is a series of misplaced expectations, and reality hitting. Yet, also finding a beauty in the things you are, finding challenges that suite you, needs you can meet, and an audience you can help.
Maybe maturity is realizing our strengths and weaknesses, working on our weaknesses, and maximizing our strengths. It is recognizing what we are, and what we are not. What we could be, and what we currently are.
