Rework

If I wanted, I could rework every piece of art that I’ve ever created. Even my best work has lines out of place, mismatching colors, etc. I could work so long on each piece that it’d never be done, or creatively, I could sit for so long on a concept that it never even comes to fruition.

But what would be the point? What’s the point of reworking a piece over and over, until you’re frozen?

Reworking a piece over and over and ‘correcting’ it assumes that there is a right way and a wrong way to create art.

But art, much like life, is subjective. Is there really a right way and a wrong way? Are we ever fully finished? Do we ever fully arrive this side of heaven? Can we ever correct and rework every error or flaw within us and become perfect?… Or is it better to ‘just be’ and move on.
