I Know That Pressure
I know that pressure. That pressure where you’re supposed to be perfect. You already know the answers, so you cannot make errors.
Everyone else seems to feel more freedom than you. Everyone else is free to express themselves, learn new things, fail, and start over, but not you. You’re in a box that someone ‘nice’ put you in and told you to stay in. Then they took the box you were in, and put you on a pedestal. You became an example of discipline and goodness, a mistake free, perfect, complete example…
… And that burden was heavy to carry.
You felt the whole world was watching you. You were on top of a hill, supposed to proclaim your freedom, but all you felt were chains.
Step down from that pedestal. You were never meant to be perfect. You were never meant to carry that weight. Lighten up. Take a step without living terrified that you might fall. Find grace. Find freedom. Live.
