I Wasn’t Invited

I always felt like a bit of an outsider growing up. I was too different, too cautious, too rigid, too etc… But maybe that’s normal. I think it’s totally normal for all of us, at some point or another, to question if we’re normal enough.

I didn’t fit in. I wasn’t invited. So I’m here instead. I learned to walk on my own. I learned to talk on my own. I found my own voice. I started on the outside and just kept walking. I learned to breathe when I felt I was drowning.

I wasn’t invited, but that’s a good place to be. You can thrive off of paving your own path.
