I was driving full speed, but somehow stayed oblivious to the imminent crash I was heading for?

How did I not see that coming?

How was I so blind, when all along I was focused on the road ahead? I guess, when you’re that focused on the road ahead, you’re blind to everything on every side. You don’t look both ways, and you certainly don’t look back.
