Insecurities

When someone’s insecure about their own abilities, it’s natural for them to put others down, as a way of trying to cover up their own weakness.

But when we’re secure about ourselves, the natural inclination changes to one of understanding and patience. We understand how difficult the process of growth is. Our natural inclination then changes from one of fear and protection, to one of kindness and generosity. We become teachers and helpers, as we help others to improve.

The great thing is, you don’t have to know everything, or be the best to be secure. You just have have to find joy in the process, and be secure through the mess. When we can do those two things, we can then focus our attention on helping those behind us who need it, rather than solely focusing on passing everyone ahead of us.

You can still move forward on your own journey while helping those behind you. In fact, you’ll probably go farther if you do.
