Finding where you want to go, and then having the tenacity to get there requires saying no to a lot of opportunities in the present.

No, I won’t follow everyone. No, I won’t do those tasks that take my time and don’t take me anywhere.

Saying no is an undervalued skill, and a trait that I’ve found all successful people possess.

Also saying no doesn’t mean you’re rude, or don’t care. It means you value the time you have, and you’re living with a purpose and direction. You know what you need and what you don’t. You know what you’re willing to give, and what you’re not.
