The Start of Any Journey
The start of any journey is similar.
It begins with a problem. You’re stuck. You’re unhappy. You’re trapped, etc.
Beginning the journey is tough because you don’t know exactly where the journey will lead. You don’t know if the journey will be worthwhile because, well, you don’t know where the journey will lead.
I think journeys are better begun when we don’t anticipate the end. We just take the leap of faith and go. We know we don’t want to be where we currently are. We’re not sure how to get somewhere else, or exactly where we’re trying to get. So we just go. We just leave on the journey and do our best to stay in the moment and let life take us where it takes us.
Then, hopefully, we come back with clearer eyes or a new perspective.
Not every journey has to be great either. Even if our journey is a journey through hell and back it at least gives us a new appreciation for where we’re at.
