Blurry

Everyone in our society wants to keep making things clearer. Sharpen the image of the television. Sharpen the image on our phones, etc. Things need to be more real, more lifelike.

But a picture is not lifelike. An image is not reality. You can sharpen your image more and more, until no one knows how you did it, but at the end of the day it’s still a ‘trick.’ At the end of the day it’s not reality.

I don’t know that I want to keep making every image clearer. I think I’m okay keeping them blurry as a reminder that life is not lived through a screen, and an image is not reality.
